Brit Civ L1/ British Civilisation Course Outline

This course tackles British civilization from its beginnings to the 17^th century. Upon completion, students should

 be able to demonstrate an understanding of the foundations of British civilization and the political, socio-

economic and cultural developments it went through during its early stages. They should also be able to provide

 historical evidence to support generalizations and interpretations about British society, thought and politics. The

 course is designed for first year students and is tackled during the first and second semesters.
